Dr Fleming, first studied diagnostic medical radiography at Charles Sturt University attaining a Diploma in Medical Radiography in 1981. He worked as a medical radiographer in several major Sydney and Canberra hospitals while completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Sydney in 1986. His practice has a strong emphasis on all ceramic cosmetic dentistry and oral implants utilizing the advanced 3D technologies of CEREC and GALILEOS on a day to day basis.

He has been surgically placing and prosthodontically restoring dental implants since 1987 and completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) from the University of Sydney in 1989. Dr Fleming has lectured at the University of Sydney both to the undergraduate course, as Associate Lecturer in Implantology, and as Prosthodontic Mentor for the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry. He is a regular presenter for Sirona Australia in the integration of GALILEOS and CEREC technologies in patient diagnosis, dental implant planning and the use of precision surgical guides in dental implant placement. In his role as Xray Course Leader at the Sirona Centre for Dentistry Dr Fleming serves both a clinical advisory role to Sirona on clinical course content as well as course presenter and trainer in the 3D Xray Radiography and Applications Courses regularly run at the centre.

3DX Dentist was established by Dr Fleming in 2012 as a training and mentor program for dentists in CBCT radiological imaging, diagnosis and precision guided implant planning and surgery. 3DX Dentist runs mentor programs two to three times a year in small group sessions for practitioners wanting to train in these exciting dental technologies.

Dr Fleming’s keen interest in 3D dento-alveolar radiology, diagnostics, treatment planning and treatment along with his firm belief in the advantages of these technologies to both clinicians and their patients strongly underpins the mentoring philosophy of 3DX Dentist.
